Meet Amy

An LGBTQ-affirming therapist in Nashville offering a path toward living your authentic self

Hi there! I’m Amy (she/her). Through therapy, I create a path toward living genuinely and lovingly with self-acceptance. As an LGBTQ-affirming therapist, I hope that my lived experience will offer additional comfort if you’re in the queer community.

My “journey to here” began with moments of feeling as if I was on the outside looking in. Pressure from both myself and others to fit in allowed the wishes of family, friends, my belief system, and my own self-doubt to keep much of myself a secret, including my lesbian identity.

Through my own personal work, a phenomenal support system, and an accepting community, my rather scenic route eventually brought me to understand that it’s beautiful right where I am.

Fast forward to today, as a therapist with more than 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field, I would like to join you in your self-affirming journey to live your best life. Through my trauma-informed and person-centered approach, together we can meet your needs of today while gaining new understanding of the past.

A longtime resident of Nashville, I enjoy spending time with my partner, adventurous walks with our senior dogs, never-ending home renovation projects, “pretend” gardening, and persistently seeking laugh-until-you-cry moments whenever humanly possible.
