Care for People, Relationships, and Communities Carrying More Than They Should Have To.
Finding a therapist who truly understands your experiences can be hard.
Too many people have sat in therapy rooms where they had to educate their therapist about their identity, explain why certain experiences were painful, or wonder whether they would be fully accepted.
At Healing Umbrella, we strive to create spaces where you can show up as your whole self.
Many people come to us because they're looking for care that honors:
LGBTQ+ adults and young people
Trans and nonbinary individuals
Neurodivergent adults, including ADHD and Autistic folks
People navigating trauma and complex life experiences
People exploring identity, relationships, and belonging
Polyamorous, kinky, and non-traditional relationships
Parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ children
Queer and trans parents and caregivers
Partners, loved ones, and allies wanting to better support the people they care about
Anyone looking for therapy that honors identity, lived experience, and community
You don't need to have all the answers. You don't need to have the right words.
You deserve care where your experiences are honored, your identity is respected, and you don't have to explain why your life has shaped you in the ways that it has.
Therapy for People Carrying More Than They Should Have To
Many of our clients are:
✔ The cycle-breaker
✔ The caregiver
✔ Someone trying to get through environments that don't always feel safe or understanding
✔ The person everyone depends on
✔ The one holding everything together
From the outside, it may look like you're managing.
Underneath, you may be exhausted, disconnected, or carrying more than anyone realizes.
Maybe you've spent so much time taking care of other people that you've forgotten what it feels like to be cared for yourself.
Therapy can be a place to put some of that weight down.
An opportunity to reconnect with yourself and remember that you don't have to carry everything alone.
Our Approach to Healing
At Healing Umbrella, we know that many people are carrying more than personal struggles.
The places we live, the communities we belong to, and the systems we move through all shape our mental health. For LGBTQ+ people, trans and nonbinary individuals, neurodivergent folks, and others living at the margins, it can be exhausting to navigate environments that don't always feel safe, affirming, or understanding.
Living in Tennessee can be deeply meaningful and, at times, deeply complicated. Many of our clients are carrying stress, uncertainty, and exhaustion while also trying to care for themselves, their relationships, and the people they love.
You deserve spaces where you don't have to explain why your experiences matter.
Many members of our team are themselves queer, trans, neurodivergent, and deeply connected to the communities we serve. We believe healing happens through relationships, community, and being witnessed by people who understand that our wellbeing is shaped by both our inner lives and the world around us.
Healing doesn't happen in isolation.
It unfolds through relationships, care, and communities that remind us we don't have to carry everything alone.
When one person feels safer, more supported, and more fully themselves, the impact often reaches far beyond the therapy room and into families, relationships, and communities.
Meet the therapists who are committed to building spaces of connection, care, and collective healing across Tennessee.
Healing Umbrella was born from the belief that people deserve spaces where they can show up fully as themselves.
Our founder, Urielle, came to this work through her own experiences of being queer and trans and understanding what it feels like to search for safety, belonging, and authentic connection.
That journey shaped the practice we are today.
Built from Lived Experience and Community
A practice that believes:
Healing should honor the whole person.
Identities do not need to be explained or defended.
Relationships and community are essential parts of wellbeing.
Everyone deserves spaces where they can feel seen, supported, and less alone.
