ABOUT OCEAN

Hi, I’m Ocean. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatry and medication management for people who want care that feels collaborative, affirming, and grounded in the full context of their lives.

I work with people who are struggling with coping with OCD, ADHD, depression, bipolar, anxiety, DID, PTSD. with people who are chronically ill, students, queer and trans. I hope people feel like they are listened to and that their concerns, worries, needs are heard.

Are you suffering from depression, anxiety, AD/HD, or other mental health struggles and wanting to explore how psychiatric medications might be able to help you?

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am curious, active, and engaged. I focus on listening to my clients.  I deeply enjoy thoroughly talking through options and collaborating with you, your families, and loved ones so you have the information you need to make the best decisions for your care.

I embrace a sex-positive, trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and Health at Every Size approach seeing good and strength in all bodies and all beings.

My journey of ten years working as a registered nurse led me to my psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) training, as well as my ongoing study of the body-based and somatic healing practices that shape my practice emphasizing education, mindfulness, and embodiment.

Outside of my work with clients, I am active in systems work focused on decolonization of mental health and deconstruction of how oppression and societal institutions contribute to mental and physical health disorders. I also enjoy forest bathing, music, audiobooks, cooking & eating, hiking, bicycling, paddleboarding, swimming, dancing, and hanging out with my friends, family, partner, two dogs and two horses!

I’m excited to meet you wherever you are on your own path! Click below to reach out and schedule your free consultation so we can begin to co-create your healing work!

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

Ocean Ray

I have been told that people feel like they have never been listened to by a psychiatry provider, and that seeing me was the first time they felt heard. That makes me feel like I am doing a good job, that i am doing what I set out to do, and treating people how I would like to be treated in my own psychiatric treatment. I have also been on the patient end of this relationship.
