Meet Dani
A bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist in Nashville, Tennessee working with the LGBTQ+ and Hispanic/Latina/o/e communities!
Hi there! I'm Dani (she/her) and thanks for clicking on my face! Are you struggling to find a therapist who speaks Spanish and understands the needs of LGBTQ individuals? Are you questioning your identity or wondering if you’re gay, trans, or queer? Maybe you are holding religious or other trauma from a conservative upbringing, or struggling with disordered eating, body image, or shame.
Regardless, I’m really excited to work with you!
Having lived in Madrid for the first ten years of my life and then later in Argentina, I know what it's like to grow up in a different culture than the one you are in, and yet not feel a part of either. I love to work with people figuring out who they are while navigating a difficult environment.
It's such a hard time for those from Latin American countries, or even with Hispanic last names, as intolerance and ignorance abound in our society. I also know what it's like to question everything you've ever been told is true, from religion to gender identity. And sometimes there's grief that comes with finally understanding what you truly believe and realizing who you are.
As someone who didn’t realize I was a transgender woman until I was 28, I am here to work with you as you navigate the discovery of yourself in this very oppressive environment. It’s never too late!
Are you struggling with your relationship with food, an eating disorder, or your body image? Our relationship with food can be very toxic, especially with all the mixed, shaming messages society gives us. Shame has never helped me grow, and I bet that is true for most of us.
I love working with all kinds of different people and issues, so even if you think you're going through something nobody could possibly understand, try me! I build my practice around empathy, safety, and sex-positivity.
I invite you to click on the link below to schedule a free consultation so I can answer any questions you may have and we can go from there!
