ABOUT TAYLOR
HI, I'm Taylor! I'm a therapist who's passionate about making the therapeutic space adapt to fit you and your needs, not force you to fit the mold. I adore working with all kinds of folks, but majority of my work lives alongside my fellow queer neurodivergent people. I hope people feel unjudged, uninhibited, and unlimited in their capacity to expand in growth, whatever direction that may take us in. I love this work because to be loved in be known, and being curious about what makes you unique in a labor of love to me, unironically and earnestly.
You may be trans or nonbinary, ethically nonmonogamous, polyamorous, queer, gay, questioning, in the kink community, or marginalized by society in other ways. Regardless, you deserve to feel seen, heard, and accepted as we work through whatever may be present in your life.
As a queer person myself born and raised in Nashville, I have come to understand the complexities life can throw our way and the challenges we face as we aim to grow and accept the space we take up in the world. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by a specific struggle or simply needing a non-judgmental ear, I am here.
I use a sex-positive approach that honors and views all forms of consensual sexual expression and relationships as normal. I respect that the role of sex varies from individual to individual and relationship to relationship.
The intersection of sex-positivity and trauma-informed care has been a passion throughout my journey as a mental health provider. My special interests include pleasure mentoring, kink, ethical non-monogamy, polyamorous relationships, trans and non-binary care, religious trauma, anti-racism, and vicarious trauma. My sessions are tailored to each individual, so you leave feeling empowered with the skills you need to take on your life.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places with my good friends, local farmer's markets, watching movies, drinking hot tea cuddled up with a good book, existing in nature, and basically being that cliché lesbian hippie friend!

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY
I believe co-creating a safe space means allowing others to have agency over their healing without requiring them to feel solely responsible in their growth. By tailoring the modalities and interventions we use to fit your needs, my hope is that the work evolves with your needs and compassionately challenges you to step into the life you most want.
I value transparency, compassion, humor, curiosity, and acknowledgment as key tenets in my personal and professional life. Therapy is not supposed to feel good all the time, but it is supposed to feel like its making you tolerate discomfort in valuable ways; my commitment is to walk alongside you throughout the therapeutic process and help reinforce a sense of self-assuredness that you can move through whatever comes, trusting yourself in the process.
I hope that therapy can provide a place for my clients to feel that they can be their most authentic selves and receive consistent care and respect in return. I want clients to feel appropriately challenged by the therapeutic work, but that I will always work to meet them where they are - no matter what they're feeling or needing at that time.

I'd hope they'd say there wasn't any emotions, experience, or thought they felt was unsafe to share alongside me. I want them to feel fully heard, understood, and aligned in their ability to take a next step in whatever direction feels right for them.

Repair is not just reconciliation. It's knowing that accountability is not something we hold another person to, but rather something we take up for ourselves. You must feel accountable enough to tolerate the discomfort that is required to understand the impact of our actions and how we must show up in the repair process as a result.

People realizing that someone can respect your boundaries even when they do not understand them. Also people realizing the emotional labor they've felt required to take up in their family unit was never there's to carry alone.

Watching people become better villagers to the village surrounding them, and that includes determining who their village truly is. Quality time with friends, acts of radical acceptance and resistance, soulful music, good food, moonlight.
